Accessibility Statement

Biggs & Featherbelle® wants everyone to be able to shop with us, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, screen magnification or other assistive technology.

Our standard

We work to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the most widely used standard for accessible websites. We treat it as a permanent part of how this site is built and looked after, not a one-time project.

What we do

  • We test every kind of page on this site against WCAG 2.1 Level AA with automated tools, at both desktop and phone sizes.
  • We check the main shopping tasks by hand, using only a keyboard and using a screen reader: finding a product, reading about it, adding it to the cart and starting checkout.
  • Changes to the site are tested before they are published, and the live site is tested again afterwards.
  • When we find a problem, we record it, fix it and confirm the fix on the live site.

Known limits

Some features of this site are provided by other companies, such as customer reviews, the store locator and the rewards program. We cannot change their code. Where we find a problem in one of them, we change what its settings allow and report the rest to its maker. If one of these features gets in your way, please tell us and we will help you directly.
